Department of Commerce & Administration

Department of Commerce & Administration aims to improve the employability of our students through curriculum innovations in group and project work, by exposing the students to corporate world, by engaging them in seminars, workshops, field visit, guest lectures, interactions with industry people and entrepreneurs. We provide learning based on friendly and informal relations between students and staff. The Autonomous status helps us to update our syllabus up to the mark as per the requirement of the industry standards. This helps our students to explore the new subjects used in the industry and thus helps them for getting good placements in reputed companies and for further studies. The college has implemented the semester pattern for the courses B.B.A. & M.Com. (Eng. Medium) which gives an opportunity to our students to learn variety of subjects with electives in their stream of interest. It will help the student for continuous learning and assessment / feedback and a better paced understanding of the subject. Adopting a semester system at the under graduate level will lead to a harmonization with the changes made at the postgraduate level. The credit based system is also accepted by the college and is very essential now a day as it is scientific system available which allows different weightage to different courses in a program based on its utility in the overall program structure. It is internationally followed system over a period of time for learning process. It has been identified that every program must have some learning objectives defined to it. It is also generally accepted that only a credit based structure can provide the best training and learning. So to keep pace with international standards the credit system has been implemented for our courses i.e. B.B.A. & M.Com.
